Okay so these are terms that are widely used on most if not all role playing sites so, they would be a good thing to learn.
- Power Playing- controlling someone's character. EX: If your character's name is Bob and your role playing with a character name Jeff, you cannot control Jeff.
- God-Modding- When your character knows what another character is thinking or predicts the future of what is going to happen. You cannot do this. It is outlawed on most if not all RP sites.
- Femme- a female, usually animal, character
- Brute- usually a male animal character
- Thread- A string of posts in one single area played by 2 or more characters
- Open Thread- Anyone can join a thread if this is in the title.
- Char or Charrie- another name for a character
- Bio- the biography of your character. Sometimes they have word counts for personality and history.
This is an ongoing list so if you have a term and a definition that are used on most if not all RP sites that I haven't listed, feel free to reply with the word and definition. |
