Arielle had decided that it was time for her to move on, and without her safety net. She ran full speed as she ran to her new home, unaware the Draco was heading there too. Since she had given him an entire nights head start they shouldn't cross paths for a few days.
Her stomach rumbled, Ugg hungry Arie thought. She searched high and low for prey, but of course there as none to be found. Her paws eventually began to ache, as she had walked almost the entire day. Finally she sighted something. Instinctively her body dropped and she became like a snake. Slithering along the ground approaching her unexpecting prey. But wait, that smell is familiar Arie noticed. Thats Draco!
As Arie began to freak out, because there was no telling what he would do if he found her sneaking up on him, she saw him start to turn around. Thats when she ran, she took off like a bat out of hell. She knew he saw her so she just kept running. Hoping that he wouldn't come after her. She saw a shelter like area out of her right eye. She changed directions so fast, thank god there was no one running next to her because they would have been knocked down. She skidded to a halt as she came to the shelter. A odd looking shape, but a shelter none the less. She stepped into feeling the cold rock on her paws and sighed in relief. Still panting heavily from her run from Draco.

Draco was heading farther south into Valiek. It was much wetter here, more humid. In a way if was relief from the dry hotness that he had experienced just the day before. It was amazing how different temperaments could be so close together.
The broad leave trees that surrounded his path were tall and beautiful. They were teaming with life. He hoped that it wouldn't rain. He hated the rain. For one thing, it got him wet and he hated to be wet and for another thing, it would make the ground muddier for a short time. The trees would soak up the water eventually but, he didn't want to walk in mud while that was happening.
Draco had eaten this morning. It was a long kill. He was not a skilled hunter. Hunting was lioness work. He was not built for hunting. He was built for fighting and defending. But, he hunted anyway and succeeded eventually. The meal was good, not great but, it was good enough to get him through the day.
As he walked, a certain smell tingled hi nose again. Arielle. She obviously hadn't left yet. He growled at her presence and he turned around to face her. He saw her sprinting away. As she should. Draco thought to himself. He would be scared out of his mind if he was in her position right now. Even strays knew that they weren't allowed in pride territory and this one had stayed for at least three days. He was done playing games now. Though, he wasn't going to waste his energy chasing her. He wouldn't catch her. He's too slow. He did, however; follow her at a jog. His eyes kept on her to see where she would run. He hoped that she would run in the direction of leaving the territory. But, that wouldn't do her much good. They were in the lowest part of the entire continent. It would take her days to leave here. She should have thought about that before.
He saw that she darted into a little "shelter." He laughed to himself. This would be easier than taking food from a cub. When he reached her hiding spot. He heard her panting from the run. Serves her right. Get out here! Now! Hi loud booming alpha voice came out loud and clear. He was seriously done playing games. He was nice with her before but, not now. Now, he was being himself. He was standing very close to the entrance to her hiding hole. But, he backed up slightly to give her room to get out. He still growled at her. She would be lucky if she got out of this alive. He didn't know what he was going to do yet, he guessed it depended on how she reacted and what she did.

She froze, he wa outside of her "shelter". What should she do? Play it soft and sweet, or angry? Arie decided on both soft but angry. She now knew he was an alpha, the leader of the Vectus pride. Oh what had she gotten herself into? She didn't want to undermine him but she didn't want to fully submit to him, no yet anyway. But already she felt the gears turning. This was how my pride was, she remembered. Arie tried pushing the terrible memory away and refocusing again on her current situation.
Arie crawled out ducking underneath the top of the shelter to avoid hitting her head. She couldn't afford an embarrassment right now. "My name is Arielle, I only listen to Arielle. I will not be yelled at by you." She spoke clearly and softly. Arie was half in and half out of the shelter.
Arie tilted her head ever so slightly to avoid the glare of the sun in her eyes. She wanted a full view of Draco. She had no idea what he was going to do to her. All she wanted was a friend, or at least a partner. Could she ever do that, Arie wondered. Maybe Arielle didn't know it yet, but maybe she had found the one..

He stood outside of the shelter and waited for her to come out. He was only going to wait a few more seconds until he just started swinging his claws inside, hitting whatever he got. But, Arielle got out just in time. She addressed him again. Disrespectful. They way she talked to him was not acceptable. She spoke as if she had some sort of choice or authority in what happened or what he called her. You will respond to whatever I call you. Plain and simple. These were his lands and he called the shots here. His father didn't work so hard to build and protect these lands to have them go to waste because a few strays happened to wander in here.
Obviously, he was not pleased with her. He was not used to this kind of disrespect. Most of the lionesses that he ruled before, respected him because of who his father was and were afraid that he would be the same way but, these lionesses hadn't seen his father. So, he would have to be the one to scare them himself. See, he was a type of Mussolini leader. He believed in being a balance between kind and strict but, he usually sided with the stricter, more violent side. It was a better way to rule. Others respond to fear better than liking a leader. Fear just worked best in all situations. But, it seemed that this fae had no fear, at least not of him. That would need to change. He planned on giving her an ultimatum and either way she chose, she would learn a lesson in fear.
If she chose to join his pride, he would teach her respect and fear very quickly. He needed obedient loyal lionesses and that was what he would make her into if she chose that route. And, if she chose to leave, it would be the hastiest retreat that the lioness probably would have ever made. He would chase her out of here faster than she could finish her sentence. He could not have strays living here. Nope. Not gonna happen. You seem to think that you have a choice in what happens so, I will give you a choice. Either join this pride or leave as fast as you can. There. There was her choice. She obviously thought that she had some kind of authority, which of course she did not. But, he would humor her and give her a small little decision. It would do her best to answer him quickly and carefully. He had things he wanted to do today. Besides the fact that he needed to get back up to the North soon. His plan was to spend a few days here and then a few days there to keep check on everything. This meant a lot of moving for him but, it had to be done. A part of him wished that they would have claimed the north and the east or something easier to keep track of but, there was no undoing the past. This was his life and there was nothing he could do about it.

Arielle scoffed at his comment, "You will respond to whatever I call you.". She got bored, and naturally her eyes wandered off until she spotted it. Arie couldn't tell what it was, but she knew it wasn't good. A pack of.. Hyenas? What were they doing here this isn't there normal territory.
Arie stepped close enough to Draco to whisper to him, "There are hyenas behind us. 4 of them and I think they are hungry." She watched him for signs to what he was thinking. She saw the hyenas stop and slowly turn to spot them. Arie dropped to the ground, hoping Draco would get the hint and do the same. But maybe a fight was what everyone could use.
Arie looked up at Draco and saw him looking off in the distance, she wondered what he was looking at. As the minutes started ticking off, Arie thought about her situation and what she should do. She was really starting to like Draco, which she couldn't understand why either. He's handsome, strong, tall, and muscular Arie thought. But then he does have a temper, but I kind of like that she noted. I wonder what our cubs would look... Woooeee slow down there Arielle she thought, you just met him you don't even know how long it will last.
That was her last though as she napped back to reality, and the hyenas.
